The housing shortage is leading to zoning changes and the construction of more ADUs (Additional Dwelling Units).  These small backyard houses can be the perfect place for grandparents to maintain their independence while living very near their children, each generation able to assist the other. The HIA board, along with members of our congregations, are helping build one of these 600 sq ft units.
